Abstract: This article presents a new methodological approach to the documentation and study of masonry techniques in the Biella area in the XI-XIV centuries. Particular attention is given to the computer protocol used to record the data. Forms have been created and then transferred to a database that allows quick implementation and consultation. The study of masonry techniques led to the creation of a digital atlas, a tool available to scholars and anyone interested in the archaeology of architecture in this chronological and territorial context. The tool also makes it possible to carry out spatial and statistical analyses take here as an example with processing on the data collected.
