New appointment to talk about digital archaeological data and research. Francesca Anichini and Gabriele Gattiglia from the MAPPALab will hold the next Lunchtime Lecture at the Zentrum für Informationsmodellierung, Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities of the University of Graz.

The topic of the talk will be on datification, data management, data analysis and more in general archaeological data as the core research fields of the MAPPALab of the University of Pisa. This talk will present two of the main challenges the MAPPALab dealt with: mathematical applications in urban archaeology (MAPPA project), and AI for automatic recognition of pottery (ArchAIDE project).
