On November 25 and 26, 2024, MAPPALab will participate in the Archaeo-Informatics 2024 conference jointly organised by the Istanbul Department of the German Archaeological Institute, the Department of Settlement Archaeology of the Middle East Technical University, and the British Institute at Ankara, where we will discuss and debate the use and challenges of Artificial Intelligence in Archaeology. On this occasion, Elisa Paperini will present a talk entitled “From data to insights: AI applications in Environmental Archaeology”. The presentation will focus on two case studies from environmental archaeology, showcasing the application of artificial intelligence techniques.
